Why You Must Stay Hydrated

Hydration is the condition of one having sufficient fluid in their body tissues; it is not something one can achieve overnight. Much of the fluids we consume is expelled from our bodies as sweat and urine.
There are several reasons why one ought to stay hydrated. To begin with, it is worth noting that hydration is not an option, or that it is something one can do without. In other words, if one’s body is not hydrated, it may lead to serious health complications. Children for instance cannot survive for long if their bodies are dehydrated. That is why patients with cholera will usually die quick if not attended to promptly, for the diarrhea and vomiting dehydrates them quickly.
Another advantage of staying hydrated at all times is that one gets a soft and smooth skin. It may surprise many to know this, but the key to a soft and glowing skin lies not so much in using creams and lotions or expensive treatments like botox injections, but rather, by keeping their bodies hydrated. This means drinking more water daily, and eating fresh and juicy fruits. People who take alcohol wake up the following morning feeling dehydrated, and feeling thirsty, which is why products that dehydrate the body are not very ideal for good health.
To keep oneself hydrated at all times, exposure to the sun should be avoided, and one should take at least 8 glasses of water per day. But surprisingly, 50 % of the water we get in our bodies comes from the foods we eat. Vegetables and fruits are 95% water, while lean meat is 70%.
So for good health and longer life adequate amounts of water are necessary. it has been recommended that you consume eight cups of water each day
